No real beach

taxi quotation to the airport was twice what we paid by organising through booking. com hotel charges to use the pool table! seams silly but its just another unnecessary charge. beer proces and size change depending on which bar you use all small points really and wouldnt put me off going back

Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Food was amazing tried their restaurant as well as buffet. Overall splendid place to spend your vacation.

Excellent service , good food - especially the Japanese restaurant.

Location was close to our factory which made is convenient. The property is safe and guarded. Rooms are big.

Breakfast was the same menu daily for one week. Wifi is unstable. Toiletries need to be topped up daily. The floor in the corridor is very slippery and dangerous. Air conditioning needs to be serviced and all the fittings are old. The property needs an upgrade.

Very good 5 star hotel very clean and helpful staff. Excellent food and drink.

Swimming pool area is lovely, large pool with features, pool attendants and pool bar staff were very obliging. Animation team always arranging games and activities for adults to participate. Room was big and comfortable, attention to environmental impact given. Good breakfast buffet with lots of variety.

Reception staff were particularly useless. On arrival we choose to pay in cash with rupees, for some reason this was an issue it took 3 staff members to take the payment. They later rang again to tell us they miss calculated and we owed them 300rupees. On check out we paid a small bill by cash again where we were told the 'cash person' was on lunch and we had to wait, this time 4 people behind the desk could not arrange for our less then 3,000 rupee cash change. The amenities are listed on the QR code in the hotel room, it states there is crazy golf, squash and tennis courts available. When asking at reception they had no idea what i was talking about and said it must be a different hotel. Disappointed to see they are advertising facilities they do not have.

We wanted to stay an extra night, reception staff said we had to book through Booking.com which was really expensive. Asked if they could do us a better deal, they came back and offered us a rate which was even more expensive. So we left! Seems really stupid to not even be able to charge us the same rate for an extra night especially when they were obviously not full! Such a shame as we loved the hotel and staff, all ruined by the total inflexibility of the reception staff and manager.

Lovely big room with balcony overlooking pool and sea. Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice. Definitely worth a visit.

The pool,location and the staff are excellent .Well designed hotel with easy access to beach .

Mini bar water bottles are unnecessarily expensive ,5 times of their retail value . They provide you with 2water bottles and expect you to survive the day .This is basically impractical and they should make water more accessible and less expensive .Better add more complimentary water bottles .

The rooms are comfy and we really like the pool. It’s a very long and clean pool. We all enjoyed a lot.

The property needs an upgrade. The hand bidet in the bathroom is very powerful the water over flows around the commode area and the tap fixed to it is unadjustable. Commode seating was not properly fixed. These are minor issues, can manage, but if looked at it properly, can get maximum customer satisfaction.

Staff was very friendly and professional. The beauty of this Hotel is the staff because from the point you enter and to each and every area you step inside , all staff are ready to serve you with a big smile.

My husband and I stayed here for our first anniversary getaway, first impressions of the hotel were quite good. The interior design of the reception and the furniture all around the hotel is fantastic and very artistic, I loved it.. When we finally got our room I was pleasantly surprised with our balcony view, it was very lovely, and also we got a bath tub which I requested online. The pool is huge and mostly shallow which is perfect for families or non swimmers like me hehe, absolutely beautiful outside locations and all the staff are very friendly and accommodating. There was a few animation activities, I enjoyed the water aerobics very much. Food: the Japanese restaurant I have to say was my favourite, the sushi tasted perfect!! I enjoyed it very much and it is good it is open for lunch as well as dinner. The Beach bar was quite expensive but again the food was impeccable .. best burgers I’ve tasted in Sri Lanka so far ! Very tasty :) We ate in the main buffet restaurant for the Italian night and it was AMAZING, exactly what I fancied , especially the lasagna! A lot of choices, especially with dessert! The service in the main restaurant beats the others, everyone was very accommodating. Geeth, the restaurant manager welcomed us very warmly and arranged a special table for us on our last night which was very nice, he went out of his way to make sure our dining experience was perfect and I really appreciate it. The breakfast in the main restaurant is also plentiful with both Sri Lankan / European choices and extra points for serving pork bacon! We had a good suprise one evening when we saw an amazing fire dancer act, they were very energetic and talented and involved the guests. However we had no idea this was happening so would be nice for hotel to advertise these entertainment nights more. Overall the hotel, location and food is 5* and I would return again, especially as the restaurant and outside staff were very friendly and happy.

Despite requesting early check in & late check out through booking.com weeks in advance multiple times, I was never contacted back with a reply and was told on arrival that we were unable to get our early check in and was told we also can’t get late check out. The room was pretty and clean, however I expected a bit more than a “happy anniversary” cloth that was put on our bed - compared to other 5* hotels in Sri Lanka I felt a bit disappointed - no fruit, towel animal, flowers or something just a bit special and welcoming. Also we tried to connect to the WiFi but wasn’t working, later on asked the reception and then they gave us a username/ password -which should have been given to us as we checked in or got our room. Online and in the directory in our room it states there is table tennis, tennis, squash etc but this is not true, they are in the neighbour hotel which we are not allowed to use, which was a disappointment as one of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the activities. Another reason we chose was because we saw there was a nightclub, however this was under renovation so this needs to be updated on the information. There are just a few points and attention to detail for the hotel to improve for their guests: - update all hotel facility information online and in room directory book, mention renovations etc - make posters around the pool/ breakfast area about entertainment so everyone knows - give a little extra attention to detail when guests are staying to celebrate anniversary, birthday etc - atleast some fruit, cake, towel animal etc - provide tables at the sun beds to put drinks , items - whoever is in charge of online reservations, please respond to emails requesting early check in/ check out etc - buy a table tennis table ? I don’t think it’s too hard and I’m sure guests will enjoy to play :)

Great resort! Hotel staff are very helpful, the food was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

If I’m being picky the price is a little expensive in comparison to other hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka which were equally as nice!

The pool was great as were the pool attendants. On our second day he remembered exactly where we were sitting the previous day and offered to reserve the seats with towels.

Arriving at the hotel was impressive and the hotel appeared to have the character and charm we were looking for. From the moment we checked in however, the staff lacked any interest in their guests. The staff member that checked us in was knowledgeable, however the experience was very routine. The room we were allocated was very damp and had a distinctive mould smell. We requested to move and this was handled promptly. We went straight to the Cabana bar as we were starving and despite several staff and very few guests, it took 40mins to receive our food with no explanation. Despite enquiring with Reception the previous day (after speaking to some other guests), when we tried to arrange the all inclusive package for the remainder of our stay, we were told it was only available for long stay guests. The pool was great and the swim up bar a nice bonus. We quickly realised however, that guests would reserve seats by the pool on their way to breakfast as there were not enough umbrellas. Pool attendants were great. We were called in our room twice by reception to see what time we would be leaving the hotel and on check out we were not even asked how our stay was. The hotel looks like it would have been great when it was first opened. It now however seems to mainly cater to larger tour groups and lacks the level of service and guest experience that you would expect for the price paid.

We liked perfect location, nice swiminig pool area and very friendy staff, Nearby one can find good selection of local restaurants.

The pool area was good , staff good Staff in general was good but too fussy.

Bedroom was second rate i am sure that this room was only used for Booking .com users. If I had been staying longer , I would of asked for another room. The room was on its own at the far end of hotel above the 3rd restaurant similar room next door used by staff. The furniture in the main bar dirty, needs updating
